Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use DaHublife. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have not been previously suspended or removed from the platform.

Second Life's own terms require users to be at least 16 years old, and access to adult content requires users to be 18 or older. You are responsible for complying with both DaHublife's and Second Life's terms.

To use DaHublife, you must register an account using a valid email address. You may also verify your Second Life avatar, which links your SL identity to your DaHublife account. Once verified, your SL avatar is permanently locked to your account.

You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our community guidelines.

You retain ownership of all content you post on DaHublife, including photos, videos, comments, messages, bulletins, event listings, and other materials. By posting content, you grant DaHublife a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

You represent and warrant that:

• You own or have the necessary rights to all content you post.
• Your content does not infringe on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
• Your content complies with all applicable laws and our community guidelines.

Prohibited content includes: illegal content, content that violates Second Life's Community Standards, hate speech, harassment, threats, sexually explicit content involving minors, content that infringes intellectual property rights, or content that facilitates fraud or illegal activities.

DaHublife reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines, with or without notice.

DaHublife allows users to create Venue, Brand, and Artist pages. Artist pages are for DJs, performers, and streamers (not for hosts) who want to showcase their work, go live, and let fans tune in. Hosts are not artists and should not create artist pages. Free accounts may create one page of any type (venue, brand, or artist); Pro accounts may create up to four pages of any combination of types. Page owners are responsible for all content posted on their pages and for the conduct of their assigned staff members.

You may not create pages that impersonate other individuals, brands, venues, or artists, or that misrepresent your affiliation with any third party. DaHublife reserves the right to remove pages that violate these Terms.

Profile photos must be G-rated. Your profile photo is your public face on DaHublife and is visible everywhere your name appears — in feeds, comments, hover cards, and messages. Because it appears in general-view contexts alongside content of all ratings, profile photos must be suitable for a general audience (no nudity, sexual content, graphic violence, or other adult material).

Cover photos may be any maturity rating. Cover photos are displayed only on your full profile or page, where visitors expect to see mature content. Cover photos may therefore include mature content. Maturity ratings otherwise apply only to feed posts (see Section 4d).

Photos that violate these rules will be removed by moderators. Repeated violations may result in temporary or permanent account suspension.

No real-life photographs and no AI images that appear to be real are permitted anywhere on DaHublife. This applies to profile photos, cover photos, feed posts, comments, messages, page content, galleries, magazines, and any other area of the platform.

DaHublife is a community for Second Life avatars and virtual-world content. All imagery must be of virtual, in-world, or clearly stylized/illustrated content. Photorealistic depictions of real people — whether actual photographs or AI-generated images that look like real photographs — are prohibited.

This includes, without limitation: real photographs of real people (yourself or others), AI-generated images designed to look like photographs of real people, deepfakes, and any imagery that could reasonably be mistaken for a real-life photograph. Violating content will be removed and may result in account suspension.

AI-tagged content must be based on Second Life content. DaHublife is a community for the Second Life community and its virtual life — not for AI-generated communities and life. Any content marked as AI-generated must be derived from real SL content, such as AI-enhanced or AI-edited versions of your avatar screenshots, in-world photography, or other SL-originated material.

Straight AI-generated content is not permitted. Content created entirely by AI generative tools without an SL origin — such as fully AI-generated scenes, avatars, or environments that do not exist in or depict Second Life — will be removed by moderators. The exception is event flyers (see Section 4d), which may be AI-generated for promotional purposes on venue and brand pages.

Posting non-SL AI-generated content as if it were SL life or community content misrepresents the platform's purpose and will result in content removal. Repeated violations may result in account restrictions.

Event flyers may only be posted on Venue, Brand (Store), and Artist pages. Personal profiles may not post event flyers to the feed. This keeps the feed focused on social content while giving venues, stores, and artists a dedicated space to promote their events.

When a venue, store, or artist posts a flyer, it is tagged with a flyer indicator. Flyers posted incorrectly on personal profiles may be removed or re-tagged by moderators.

Every post on DaHublife must be accurately tagged so the platform can organize and filter content correctly. When creating a post, you must:

• Maturity rating: Select the appropriate rating — G (General), M (Mature), or A (Adult) — that reflects the content of your post.
• AI content flag: Mark your post as AI-generated if it contains rendered or AI-produced imagery.
• Flyer flag: Mark your post as a flyer if it is an event flyer (venue, brand, and artist pages only — see Section 4d).

Mislabeling posts — such as marking adult content as G-rated or failing to flag AI content — may result in your post being re-tagged or removed by moderators. Repeated mislabeling may lead to account restrictions.

Notice-type posts are not allowed. While promoting an upcoming event ahead of time with a flyer is permitted (on venue, brand, and artist pages — see Section 4d), posting Second Life-style group notices — such as "event starting now," halftime announcements, "come join us" reminders, and similar real-time notices — as general feed posts is not allowed. Venues, stores, and artists should post that information using the built-in event posting system instead. Notice-type posts will be removed by moderators.

Every post on DaHublife must carry an accurate maturity rating and the appropriate content tags so the platform can organize and filter content correctly. The badges below appear on posts, comments, and galleries throughout the site.

Mislabeling posts — such as marking adult content as G-rated, failing to flag AI content, or omitting the flyer tag on an event flyer — may result in your post being re-tagged or removed by moderators. Repeated mislabeling may lead to account restrictions.

DaHublife offers a paid "Pro" subscription that unlocks additional features. Pro subscriptions may be purchased through in-world Second Life kiosks (paid in Linden Dollars) or through web checkout (processed by our payment providers).

Subscription terms:

• Subscriptions are purchased for a fixed duration (30, 90, 180, or 365 days) and are not recurring.
• Payments are non-refundable except where required by law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us through the platform.
• Subscriptions grant access to Pro features for the purchased duration. A 5-day grace period applies after expiry before non-primary pages are locked.
• If your account is banned for violations of these Terms, you forfeit any remaining subscription time without refund.

In-world L$ (Linden Dollar) transactions are governed by Linden Lab's Terms of Service. DaHublife does not handle, store, or control Linden Dollar transactions — we only record the transaction result to activate your subscription.

You agree not to:

• Use DaHublife for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
• Harass, bully, intimidate, or stalk any other user
• Post content that is defamatory, hateful, or incites violence
• Impersonate another person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation
• Attempt to access another user's account, data, or non-public areas of the platform
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to access or collect data from DaHublife without our permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's servers, infrastructure, or features
• Circumvent any security or access control measures
• Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to DaHublife without authorization
• Use DaHublife as a hosting provider or CDN for third-party commercial content unrelated to Second Life, or repurpose platform storage (photo galleries, magazines, file uploads) for bulk external distribution

DaHublife employs moderators and automated systems to enforce these Terms and our community guidelines. We may take action including content removal, temporary bans, or permanent account termination for violations.

Temporary bans restrict social features (posting, commenting, messaging) for a specified duration (1–7 days). Permanent bans result in full account suspension with no reinstatement.

Appeals may be submitted through the platform. We will review appeals in good faith but our decisions are final.

The DaHublife platform, including its design, logos, software, and features (excluding user-generated content), is owned by DaHublife and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the platform without our written permission.

All third-party trademarks referenced on DaHublife (including Second Life, Discord, Flickr, YouTube, Instagram, Google, Giphy, and others) are the property of their respective owners.

Not affiliated with Second Life or Linden Lab. DaHublife is an independent, third-party platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Linden Research, Inc. (Linden Lab), Second Life, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. "Second Life" and "Linden Lab" are trademarks of their respective owners.

No warranty. DaHublife is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or secure access to the platform.

Beta & service availability. DaHublife is under continuous development and features may change, be removed, or break without notice. We do not commit to any specific service-level availability, and scheduled or unscheduled maintenance may cause downtime. We are not liable for losses resulting from service interruptions.

Data backup. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of any content you upload (photos, magazine layouts, page assets, etc.). While we strive to preserve your data, we are not responsible for permanent data loss caused by platform errors, infrastructure failures, or account deletion. DaHublife is not an archival service.

DaHublife shall not be liable for any failure or delay in providing the service caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, power outages, internet or infrastructure failures, server or hosting-provider outages, labor disputes, governmental actions, or other circumstances of force majeure. We will use reasonable efforts to restore service as soon as practicable.

DaHublife may integrate with or link to third-party services such as Discord, Flickr, YouTube, Instagram, Google, Giphy, Second Life, and others. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms of service and community standards, in addition to these Terms. DaHublife is not responsible for content or conduct on third-party platforms, and violations of third-party platform rules that originate from DaHublife activity may also result in action on your DaHublife account.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DaHublife shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the platform. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of DaHublife shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding twelve (12) months.

You agree to indemnify and hold DaHublife harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your content, your use of the platform, or your violation of these Terms or any third-party rights.

You may delete your account at any time using the in-app account deletion tool. Upon deletion, we permanently remove your profile, posts, comments, messages, pages, and associated data within a reasonable period. Some information may be retained in backup systems or where required by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify users through the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of DaHublife after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of DaHublife shall be resolved through good-faith negotiations, and if unresolved, through binding arbitration or the courts of competent jurisdiction.
